UCSF Global Cancer Program Celebrates 2021 World Cancer Day

On February 4, people all around the globe celebrated 2021 World Cancer Day. Hosted by the Union for International Cancer Control, this annual initiative aims to raise worldwide awareness, improve education and catalyze personal, collective and government action. World Cancer Day calls each of us to take action in our own areas to advance the world to where millions of preventable cancer deaths are saved and access to life-saving cancer treatment and care is equal for all.

This World Cancer Day, the UCSF Global Cancer Program celebrated along with the colleagues around the world and renewed our commitment to reduce the global cancer burden through education, innovative research, and collaboration.

The UCSF Global Cancer Program took over the Helen Diller Family Comprehensive Cancer Center (HDFCCC)'s social media to celebrate World Cancer Day. For highlights, see our Twitter round-up below. Happy World Cancer Day!
