UCSF Faculty Attend the UICC World Cancer Congress, Oct 31-Nov 3, 2016

In 2016, the UCSF Helen Diller Family Comprehensive Cancer Center became a Full Member of the Union for International Cancer Control (UICC). In November, faculty members Dr. Katherine Van Loon, Director of the UCSF HDFCCC Global Cancer Program, and Professor Stella Bialous, President of the International Society of Nurses in Cancer Care, represented UCSF at the 2016 World Cancer Congress in Paris as participants in the UICC General Assembly. The week-long global exchange in cancer-control research and education was attended by 3,260 leaders and experts from 169 countries around the world.  Read more here
