On January 26th, 2017 the Global Cancer Program’s Inaugural Lecture was delivered by Dr. Lawrence Shulman of the University of Pennsylvania.

Dr. Shulman discussed his experiences in establishing cancer care resources at Butaro Hospital in Rwanda and shared his insight into how to tackle high cancer burdens in low-resource settings.

The standing-room only event was hosted by Katherine Van Loon, MD, and HDFCCC President Alan Ashworth, PhD, FRS.
