Dianna Ng, MD, Named as Associate Director of the Global Cancer Program

We are delighted to announce that Dianna Ng, MD, has been named as an Associate Director for the Global Cancer Program in the HDFCCC.

Dr. Ng is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pathology and has spearheaded partnerships with the Department of Pathology at Muhimbili University of Health and Allied Sciences (MUHAS) in Tanzania.  She leads efforts to build capacity for cytopathology in Tanzania, and she serves as a research and career mentor to a number of early career pathologists at MUHAS.  Her own research focuses on the use of innovative technologies to improve breast cancer diagnostics in low-resource settings.

Dr. Ng will continue to work closely with Dr. Katherine Van Loon, Director of the Global Cancer Program, to foster innovative and collaborative research, to expand mentorship opportunities for early career investigators both at UCSF and at our partner sites, and to advance the mission of the Global Cancer Program to reduce the global cancer burden.

Please join us in welcoming Dr. Ng in her new role.
